Letters to a Young Artist consists of excerpts from a series of letters originally named “Letter’s to a Young Poet”, that reveals Rainer Maria Rilke’s ideas and attitudes regarding creative poetic effort and life itself. The prompt was to choose letters from the original ten that resonated with yourself as an artist. Using nature as a focus point, I created delicate and elegant textural imagery to compliment Rilke’s poetic writing style.
